We have used our laser to do two color paint jobs before. There are several methods including pre-painting and etching into the bottom color or simply making a mask using the included paper scratch guard on the material. However, Three colors is a bit tricky. So we try to tackle this with the power of LASERS and some transfer tape as a mask.
This project was at times amazing to work on and at others one of the most frustrating builds we have done to date. The finished prop is about 7 feet long and it really stretched us. We also had to call in support from a friend for it. Greg has a great youtube channel covering his Makergear M2 as well tabletop gaming. Check out his channel here. He did the bulk of the 3d printing for this project but we decided to get our own M2 so we can do more project likes this in the future.
While it is the one of the few weapons in the show that isn't "also a gun", Myrtenaster is a wonderful weapon from a design standpoint. I decided to tackle this weapon because it had some unique challenges and at the time we had a local group that featured the rest of team RWBY but no Weiss. Luckily a friend wanted to do Weiss as well. So I started working on it!
One of my favorite characters from the Star Wars EU is Piggy. Who doesn't love a genetically modified Gamorrean fighter pilot who can do hyperspace calculations in his head and is even credited with half a Super Star Destroyer Kill!
Metal scales are great! They have lots of advantages but foam does as well. So we have decided to make laser cut foam scales available in our store. This can save you a lot of time on a project and get some unique looks.
